Coming to you from Detroit, Antonio Villarruel, better known by his peers as “Big Preme” or “el Premo”, has demonstrated a life-long passion and commitment to the art form of music.

At an early age Big Preme displayed above-average musical prowess such as beating rhythmic staccatos on coffee cans to the haunting melodies of Carlos Santana, mentored by his father, Ernesto Villarruel, a talented Latin percussionist hailing from Guadalajara, México. During this time of his life, Big Preme quickly found his calling. A fresh nascent in the realm of music, Preme would find Southwest Detroit, known as the “Melting Pot” of Detroit’s culture, a veritable incubator, taking in myriad musical influences ranging from Marvin Gaye to Ice T; from Willie Colon and Hector Lavoe to Big Pun.

Never the one to be close-minded when it came to music, he did not stop there, he utilized his years of living in Puerto Rico with his mother to reconnect with his Caribbean roots. Upon returning to Michigan, he would find the streets of Detroit as welcome proving grounds; testing his abilities in back-alley battles armed with only a desire for improvisational wordplay and Gatling gun delivery, the Detroit underground music scene was stunned as he triumphantly conquered lyricist by lyricist; leaving them outwitted and awestruck in his wake.

Under the name “G.F. Music”, Big Preme, along with production partner La Mayeya, were the first producers in Detroit to introduce the impetus-enlaced rhythms of Reggaeton in its city scene. Now working on his sophomore album, and first Latin album “El Arquitecto”, Big Preme is masterfully fusing Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, Vallenato and more with the larger than life sounds that people have come to expect from this superstar in the making.

Big Preme has graced the stage with accomplished artists such as Julio Voltio, Fulanito, Monchy y Alexandra, Chingo Bling, Juan Gotti, Don Chezina, Rey Pirin, Fat Joe, Pit Bull, Alexis Y Fido and that’s just the beginning. With avenues of potential talent unexplored, it is clear that Big Preme is one to be closely watched. Crafting everything from Latin rhythm-infused club anthems to emotional arias, Big Preme has broken that definitive mold of reggaetonero, rapper, and producer. He forms an entirely new sound. One that is narcotic in its intensity, vivacious in its originality, and touched by that distinct genius which is uniquely "Supreme".
